The function of the Clean County Committee is to develop litter control programs for which State litter control grants can be expended; is dedicated to the cause of a cleaner, more attractive community; conducts publicity campaigns and education programs on litter control; promotes law enforcement as it relates to litter, programs for the removal of litter, placement of anti-litter signs, litter containers and programs including recycling; promotes the preservation of trees and the encouragement/support of beautification projects undertaken by various organizations.
Makeup: Appointed by the Board of Supervisors (5 election district appointments and 2 at large) .
Terms: 4-year staggered terms ending December 31
Meeting Schedule: Meets at 6 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of January, February, March, April, May, September, October and November, in the County Administration building.
