The Farms of New Kent Community Development Authority (CDA) was created in December 2005 for the purpose of exercising all powers of Va. Code Section 15.2-5113 et seq, including financing, funding, planning, establishing, acquiring, constructing or reconstructing, enlarging, extending, equipping, operating and maintaining infrastructure improvements within the designated Farms of New Kent CDA district. (See Ordinances O-29-05 and O-03-06)

Makeup: Five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors (may have appointee-specific alternates). Members must take an oath of office before taking office initially and at each re-appointment, and must file annual Conflict of Interest forms with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors. Appointments are made based upon credentials and not by districts.

Terms:: 4-year staggered terms ending December 31

Meeting Schedule: Meets as needed in the County Administration building.
