In light of the Commonwealth of Virginia ceasing all Johnson & Johnson vaccinations until a federal government investigation into the vaccine is completed, New Kent County will not have a Johnson & Johnson vaccination clinic on Friday, April 16, 2021.

If you have an upcoming appointment for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this Friday, you will be contacted to reschedule. The County will offer the Moderna vaccine for this Friday’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic at New Kent High School (7365 Egypt Road, New Kent) from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Walk-ins will also be accepted during the 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. time period. Please note that New Kent County vaccination clinics are on Fridays only.

On Friday, April 9 the Chickahominy Health District announced that along with other regional health districts they would be moving into Phase 2 of COVID-19 vaccinations. Those who live or work in New Kent County, are 18 years of age and older, and wish to sign up for an appointment to receive the vaccine are now eligible and should call the New Kent County COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at (804) 966-9677. The call center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
