nkso recruiting

Do you know a young adult who would like an opportunity to serve as a Deputy Cadet? New Kent County Sheriff's Office is now recruiting!

The Deputy Cadet program was established to mentor young adults to serve their communities by providing knowledge, skills and practical experiences through education and training delivered by public safety professionals that build character, physical fitness, and respect for the rule of law and human and civil rights.

Although the Deputy Cadet program helps to prepare young adults for careers in the public safety profession, the program’s goal is to foster good citizenship and a greater understanding between youth and the public safety agencies in their communities.

Membership is open to young adults, 14-20 years of age. Deadline is Monday, June 13, 2022.

Apply now! Applications can be emailed to Deputy T.R. Humphries.
