Nancy Lindsey received the Second Quarter 2022 Employee of the Quarter award from County Administrator Rodney Hathaway on Thursday, July 28, 2022.  Nancy has been with the County since August 1998 and has been a vital part of the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office, becoming the Finance Manager in 2016.

Nancy received multiple nominations from her peers, including one that stated “Nancy confidently manages all the financial transactions for multiple departments within the New Kent Sheriff’s Office – and makes it look easy. While Nancy currently works a part-time schedule, she handles a full-time workload. She is meticulous in accomplishing her work and sets very high standards for herself. Her work product and records are impeccable. Her knowledge and expertise make her an invaluable resource to others within and outside of her department. Nancy thinks ahead and is very good at planning for contingencies. She is always willing to assist and offer input on new projects, even those that would not normally be considered her responsibility.”

Nancy received a gift from the County, a framed certificate, a $250 bonus and her name will appear on an Employee of the Quarter plaque in the County Administration Building.

Congratulations Nancy and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to NKC!
