What is GIS?

GIS is a collection of computer hardware, software, and geographic data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. 

New Kent County's GIS office creates and maintains spatial information for the creation of maps and data analysis to support County departments and their customers and provides citizens with easy access to this information.
