Burn Permit applications are accepted from 8:00 a.m.-3:45 p.m. daily at the permit center located in the Administration Building in suite 103. The cost of the application is:

• $40.00 for RESIDENTIAL (HOMEOWNER) BURNING (BURN BRUSH)
• $250.00 for COMMERCIAL (CONTRACTOR)BURNING (PIT BURNING ONLY-LAND CLEARING OPERATIONS).
• $50 per site for FIREWORK SALES

After submittal of the application we will forward to the Fire Marshall. After that time, you may direct any questions to Fire Station 1 at 966-9618.

If you would like to find out if the New Kent County Fire Department would be interested in using a structure that you are going to demo as training, please call 804-966-9618. If the fire department is going to use your demo project for training, you will also need to obtain a burn permit.
