Helpful Information  

• All animal bites must be reported to the Animal Protection Unit by Law.
• All puppies & kittens at 4 months of age require rabies shots from a Veterinarian by Law.
• All dogs housed in New Kent County require a license, which can be obtained through the County Treasurer. This annual license is due each January 31 .
• Your pets should have ID tags on them at all times to help them if they become lost. Please include your current telephone number on the tag.
• Remember, you are responsible for your pet at all times. Please do not allow them to stray and create a nuisance or destroy your neighbor’s property.
• If your pet becomes lost, please let us know so we can assist you in locating your pet.
