MISSION: The mission of the Department of Parks and Recreation is to enhance the quality of life in New Kent County by promoting, providing, and maintaining a comprehensive system of quality recreational facilities and services.

VISION: New Kent County Parks and Recreation provides opportunities and recreational programs which are open and accessible to all citizens in the County regardless of sex, religion, socioeconomic and/or level of physical or mental ability. NEW KENT PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY COMMISSION

The Commission was established to serve as a liaison between the Citizens, Board of Supervisors, and Department of Parks and Recreation and make recommendations on matters relating to the recreational needs of the Citizens.

The Commission holds public meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month starting in January in the County Administration Building Board Room, on the upper level at 6:30pm.
