The New Kent County Planning Commission consists of eleven citizens
who are appointed to four year terms by the Board of Supervisors.
The Commission holds public hearings on all rezoning cases and conditional
use permit requests and makes recommendations for approval or denial
to the Board of Supervisors.
The Commission also makes recommendations
on land use policy issues through the Comprehensive Plan, and Subdivision
and Zoning Ordinances. The Planning Commission meets at 6:30p.m. on
the third Monday of each month in the Board Room of the Administration
Building. The Commission may schedule other meetings as needed.
