Administration

The County Administration Office works directly with the New Kent County Board of Supervisors to carry out the following duties:

  • Coordinate the functions of all other departments
  • Carry out policies set by the Board of Supervisors
  • Ensure that good customer service is provided by all departments
  • Budget oversight and management
  • Serve as a link for public information
  • Provide support and resources to the Board of Supervisors
  • Oversee County purchases and make sure they adhere to State purchasing policy
  • Provide education on record management/retention
