FEMA recently released preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) which are out for early public review. The public review period allows for affected property owners to review the proposed changes, and begin to prepare comments and/or appeals for the formal 90-day Appeal and Comment period, slated to start in the Fall of 2020. The start of the 90-day period will be publicly advertised.

In addition to the above, hard copies of the updated FIRMs are available for review in the Environmental and Building Departments, by appointment.
