New Kent Comp Plan carousel

New Kent County is planning for its future and your voice matters. New Kent 2045, a process to update the County's Comprehensive Plan, is in progress and we need your input on what New Kent County should be like in the future.

New Kent County is currently working with residents, businesses, landowners, and other community members to update its Comprehensive Plan. This effort is an extension of the County's Envision New Kent Strategic Plan, adopted in 2021. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range guide for growth and development, establishing a vision of what New Kent County could look like in twenty years. The plan addresses a variety of topics, including land use, housing, economic development, and natural resources. It identifies objectives and strategies that can be implemented to realize the community’s vision.

Let us know your thoughts at one of our upcoming public meetings:

June 6 – Liberty Baptist Church, Lanexa
12:00 – 1:30 P.M.

June 6 – New Kent Middle School
6:00 – 7:30 P.M.

June 13 – Quinton Elementary School
6:00 – 7:30 P.M.

The content of all meetings will be the same. Just choose the date, time and location that works best and attend.

More information and an online mapping questionnaire can be found at the New Kent 2045 website.
