County Administrator Rodney A. Hathaway is very pleased and proud to announce that New Kent County has received the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Triple Crown Award for achieving the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award (PAFR), and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2021 Fiscal Year. Staff is currently working on the County's Fiscal Year 2022 submission. "Congratulations to our Financial Services staff for this achievement that only 12 other localities in Virginia were able to receive, and most of those localities are much larger than ours. We are very fortunate to have such skilled and dedicated staff in our Finance office, and it is truly appreciated," Hathaway said.
