Join experienced Karate Instructor, David Frank and his instructors for American Style Karate. Karate promotes a healthy lifestyle for the mind and body. Karate aids in self-confidence, attention span, focus and discipline. Instructors coach to a level of fitness and personal achievement including how to defend yourself. This is a great family activity in a safe environment. All classes are subject to cancellation and modifications due to COVID-19.

Try your luck at BINGO! We have missed our Bingo Friends at NKPR!  Celebrate new, and seasoned friendships over a few games of recreational Bingo. There will be a variety of prizes to pick from (value $1 – 3).  Help us fill the chairs for this traditional game.  Older children are welcome to participate with a supervising adult.  Please RSVP to 966-8502.  Fee includes Chick-fil-a box lunch.

Join NKPR volunteer coaches for this exciting and growing soccer program. Participants will play in the league based on their age as of 03/01/21. Proof of age is required. Practices are scheduled to start mid-March and games are scheduled to start on Saturdays late March/early April for league games. Registration includes jersey, officials and end of season award. Practices could be M-F and in the Courthouse or Quinton areas. Games may be played in New Kent, West Point and other locations. Parents, please indicate your interest in coaching. Priority will be given to previous coaches in good standing. Please complete Parks and Recreation Registration Form and COVID Waiver. Please note: due to the evolving nature of the COVID pandemic there may be modifications to the program, delay in program, and potential exposure to COVID. Regulations/mandates will be communicated soon after we receive them from governing bodies.

Players will need soccer cleats, shin guards, age appropriate soccer ball, face-covering, labeled water bottle.

Join this beginner basketball program and introduce your child to skills needed on the court. This program will focus on age appropriate development. Please bring a water bottle, wear athletic shoes and bring a youth-sized basketball. Please note: due to the evolving nature of the COVID pandemic there may be modifications to the program, delay in program, and potential exposure to COVID. Regulations/mandates will be communicated soon after we receive them from governing bodies.

Quinton Park between 2 and 4 pm and paint a special rock to be incorporated into Pine Fork Park plus other art activities (free, but please register in case of inclement weather-966-8502)

NKPR is seeking program proposals for April - June 2021! At this time, programs should be proposed with modified plans to support current CDC recommendations (i.e. masks, distancing, hand-washing) and comply with current Governor’s Executive Orders.  Contact kcturner@newkent-va.us or call 966-8502
