Clean County Committee

  • is responsible for developing litter control programs for which State litter control grants can be expended
  • is dedicated to the cause of a cleaner, more attractive community
  • conducts publicity campaigns and education programs on litter control
  • promotes law enforcement as it relates to litter, programs for the removal of litter, placement of anti-litter signs, litter containers, and programs including recycling
  • promotes the preservation of trees and the encouragement/support of beautification projects undertaken by various organizations
  • members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors (5 election district appointments and 2 at- large)
  • members serve 4-year staggered terms ending December 31
  • meets at 6 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of January, February, March, April, May, September, October, and November in the County Administration building
  • chartered on May 14, 2012 by adoption of Resolution R-25-12.  Charter was renewed on December 14, 2015 by Resolution R-36-15.
